Twitter rolls out redesigned profile for all users

WASHINGTON: Twitter's new Facebook-like profile design, which was earlier available only to a certain group of users, has finally been made public.

According to CNET, the design, though radically altered from Twitter's previous profile design, may look familiar as it smacks of Facebook's Timeline, especially with the massive photo up top and key biographical information displayed on the left.
Twitter users also have the option to pin a selected tweet to the top of their profile page.

Meanwhile, tweets with more activity appear larger as compared to the rest, the report added.

Skype seems to have suddenly gotten into an offensive mode by launching an advertising campaign that claims its superiority over social networks. The VoIP service has claimed that Facebook and Twitter are causing damage by taking people away from direct conversations, by  engaging in wall posts and short messages instead. It has gone as far as stating that these services are far from humanity. Slogans such as "When did LOL replace the sound of laughter?" and "140 characters doesn't equal staying in touch" are also part of the $12 million campaign.

Are you annoyed with all the unwanted spam tweets that come up on your Twitter stream? Then you have a reason to rejoice. The microblogging site has finally taken a stand against five websites that have been heavily spamming its users. In a suit filed at a federal court in San Francisco,sources reveal that the defendants include TweetAttacks, TweetAdder, TweetBuddy, James Lucero of justinlover.info and Garland E Harris of troption.com.
Twitter's official blog further states, "With this suit, we’re going straight to the source. By shutting down tool providers, we will prevent other spammers from having these services at their disposal.
