The VPL-VW1000ES can produce images upto 200-inches diagonally. The brightness is 2000 lumens, which seems low for such a high-end device. The lamp life is rated at between 2000 and 2500 hours.

For those who enjoy HD content, the projector offers a option called “Reality Creation”, which basically upscales SD, HD or 3D content to 4K resolutions, or pixel dimensions of 4096 x 2160. From what we saw at the demo, it does look like it does a good job with the upscaling.

SAN FRANCISCO: More than 600,000 Apple Inc (AAPL) Mac computers were affected by a hacking attack, a sign that the once rarely targeted company is becoming a bigger focus for people intent on spreadingmalware, a security-research firm said. 

The attack affects computers running Apple's Mac OS X software, according to Russian antivirus software maker Doctor Web. 

Most of the infected computers are in the United States (X) and Canada, the firm said in a blog posting. Apple fixed a security hole this week that let the malicious software spread. Users who haven't downloaded the necessary updates are vulnerable, Doctor Web said.

Nokia shocked the world this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) when it showed off its new 808 PureViewphone packing in an unbelievable 41 MP imaging sensor. While this was a Symbian phone, hints were dropped that the company could port the imaging technology to Windows Phone devices. The hints seem to be coming true asreports are emerging about leaked slides that appear to show PureView being added to the Lumia series based on the Windows Phone platform. The slides also present some specification details, which suggest that the smartphone will be having a 4.3" curved touchscreen with HD display and will be powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz CPU with Adreno 320 GPU. The slide also shows that there is a 41 MP sensor, Carl Zeiss lens, and PureView imaging technology, in addition to the capability of recording 1080p videos with Rich Recording technology.

The service claims to provide subscribers with high speed wireless internet access that supports video streaming and high-definition video conferencing.
