Intex launches Android tab for Rs 11900 in India

Intex Technologies, a company engaged in computer peripherals has launched the i-Tab, an eight-inch Android tablet priced at just Rs 11,900. The device called the iTab, comes with a 3G data card and a LAN adaptor.It also has a capacitive touch screen, in-built Wi-Fi and GPS software supported by Google Maps, memory capacity of 8GB expandable up to 32 GB and a battery back up of 5-6 hours.

Tech2in reports that Intex also adds in the company’s 3G data card, LAN adaptor, leather cover and a pair of Reebok sunglasses with the tab.
Fuelled with a 1 GHz cortex A8 core processor with 512 MB DDR3 RAM, it runs on the Android Gingerbread 2.3 version.
Times of India reported Intex was targeting college going youth and housewives with the iTab.
Intex will expand its tablet portfolio with in-built 3G in larger screen models.
