Enhanced version of India's cheapest tablet will be launched on a trial basis.
Do you remember the old Panchantantra tale about theproverbial tiger? Well, the government's Aakash tablet seems to be on a similar path. After HRD Minister Kapil Sibalclaimed that the new version of the low-cost tablet will be available in April, as per fresh reports, it now seems that Aakash II will be out in May. Speaking at an event, Sibal said "The second version of Aakash will be launched sometime in May".
The upgraded version of the tablet will come with a 700 MHz Cortex A8 processor and a 3200 mAH battery under the hood that will offer three hours of uptime. The tablet will feature a capacitive touchscreen, and the first 100,000 tablets will be made available for students of higher technical educational institutions.
If you don't think it's worth the wait, you can check out the Ira tablets from Wishtel, Pantel T-Pad IS701R, ATabin or HCL's new cheap tablets instead.
