Taiwanese smartphone-maker HTC has announced that as many as sixteen of its smartphones will be getting the much-awaitedAndroid Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) update in the coming months. In a blog, the company said that it has already started rolling out Android 4.0 update for HTC Sensation andHTC Sensation XE devices. The update for theHTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL will follow very soon.
These updates will be released over-the-air. The respective device users will get a notification to download and install these update on their devices. The company reportedly suggests that users should use Wi-Fi to download these update to avoid data charges.
